New avenues of growth—new ways to connect with your customers... Social media is transforming the way businesses do business. Can Twitter help you communicate with potential customers? Wonder what Facebook can do for your business? Would building a LinkedIn profile help develop your network and land new leads? What the devil is Foursquare, and how can location-based social media improve customer service and loyalty?

Camp Signalfire’s hands-on workshop will answer all these questions and more. Whether you’re familiar with social media or have never been on Facebook, this workshop will cover the critical knowledge you need to make smart social media decisions for your business.

You should sign up immediately if you find yourself asking:

  • What are the different social media platforms and how are they used in business?
  • What social media platforms are right for my business? Which ones are NOT a good idea?
  • Are people already talking about my business on social media? How do I find out and how do I monitor it?
  • Who is using social media? (The answer will surprise you)
  • How does social media factor into my other marketing efforts?
  • How much time does social media take?
  • What are the real costs of social media?

At the end of our one-day introductory session, you will be able to confidently answer those questions as well as have a presence in critical social media platforms.

A small class size will ensure you have focused, hands-on guidance, have the opportunity to ask questions specific to your business, and listen to the experiences of other small business owners and managers. This collaborative learning environment will prove that every situation is different and no single solution is right for all businesses.

What should you bring?

  • A laptop with wireless networking capabilities (wi-fi) and necessary power cords
  • Access to a web-based email account (Yahoo, Hotmail, Gmail, or similar)
  • Electronic file (.jpg or .gif) of your business logo or smiling face
  • Pen and paper for notes
  • Business cards (for networking with other attendees)
